“Artificial intelligence is poised to disrupt various aspects of our lives and ways of living. There has been both great optimism and significant scepticism regarding the impact of this technology. Regardless of these differing viewpoints, it is widely acknowledged that AI holds immense potential.
In this talk, I will highlight recent advances in artificial intelligence and some promises it holds for Africa. I will also discuss the challenges and possibilities for advancing the field, emphasizing the importance of including African perspectives and participation. Additionally, this talk will highlight current efforts to leverage AI advancements to benefit Africa and identify areas for further improvement”.
