„Der vermessene Mensch“ (2023)

ABOUT THE FILM:

„Der vermessene Mensch“ (2023) is a German feature film by Lars Kraume from 2023, based on the novel Morenga by Uwe Timm. The historical drama tells the story of a young Berlin ethnologist who witnesses the genocide of the Herero and Nama in the German colony of German South West Africa at the beginning of the 20th century. In doing so, he also crosses his own moral boundaries. Leonard Scheicher took on the leading role.
The world premiere of “Der vermessene Mensch” took place at the Berlinale in February 2023.
