The Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence and the University of Bayreuth announced that a new member will join the research organization this summer: Professor Dr. Sabelo Ndlovu-Gatsheni.

We are thrilled to announce a new arrival in the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence at the University of Bayreuth: Dr Sabelo Ndlovu-Gatsheni has accepted our offer to occupy the newly created chair for “Epistemologies of the Global South”. He will make the move from the University of South Africa to join the University of Bayreuth this summer. As one of the most articulate voices in the epistemological turn in the study of Africa and the Global South, he will enrich our debates about knowledge production in African Studies at the interface of coloniality and postcoloniality.
