Implications, Challenges, and Perspectives for Educational Development in Africa and Asia 

Over the Winter term 2024/25, the postdoc working group has conducted several online sessions in which they discussed the topic of implications and challenges the agenda for accelerated learning poses for children and youth, educationists, researchers as well as policy makers in the Global South, especially in African and Asian contexts. 

The postdoc working group activities are about to close with an intensive and engaging in-house workshop and writing retreat at University of Bayreuth from 18.02. until 21.02.2025.

19.02.2025, 6-8pm:
Film Screening Need for Speed: African and Asian Students on Accelerated Learning at University of Bayreuth
The workshop is accompanied by a film screening. The film explores the experiences of African and Asian students navigating accelerated learning programmes at University of Bayreuth, highlighting both challenges and opportunities. The film examines how accelerated learning impacts students' academic adaptation, career preparedness, and cultural integration. The screening will provide a platform for discussions on inclusivity and the future of higher education in a rapidly evolvling global landscape."
